MIC2560 PCMCIA Card Socket V and V CC PP Switching Matrix General Description Features The MIC2560 V and V Matrix controls PCMCIA (Per- Complete PCMCIA VCC and VPP switch matrix in a CC PP sonal Computer Memory Card International Association) single IC memory card power supply pins, both V and V . The CC PP No external components required MIC2560 switches voltages from the system power supply Logic compatible with industry standard PCMCIA to V and V . The MIC2560 switches between the three CC PP controllers V voltages (OFF, 3.3V and 5.0V) and the V voltages CC PP No voltage overshoot or switching transients (OFF, 0V, 3.3V, 5V, or 12.0V) required by PCMCIA cards. Break-before-make switching Output voltage is selected by two digital inputs for each Output current limit and overtemperature shutdown output and output current ranges up to 1A for V and CC Digital flag for error condition indication 200mA for V . PP Ultra-low power consumption The MIC2560 provides power management capability Digital selection of VCC and VPP voltages under the control of the PC Card controller and features Over 1A VCC output current over current and thermal protection of the power outputs, 200mA VPP (12V) output current zero current sleep mode, suspend mode, low power Options for direct compatibility with industry standard dynamic mode, and on-off control of the PCMCIA socket PCMCIA controllers power. 16-Pin SOIC package The MIC2560 is designed for efficient operation. In stand- by (sleep) mode the device draws very little quiescent Applications current, typically 0.01A. The device and PCMCIA ports are protected by current limiting and overtemperature PCMCIA power supply pin voltage switch shutdown. Full cross-conduction lockout protects the Font cards for printers and scanners system power supply.
