The MXC4005XC with Accelerometers Monolithic and Wafer Level Packaged Three-Axis Accelerometer is manufactured by Memsic. It is an ultra-low power, low profile, MEMS based three axis accelerometer. This liquid-proof device is capable of measuring both dynamic acceleration and static tilt. The MXC4005XC can detect motion, shock, and vibration in all three orthogonal axes. It is well suited for motion sensing applications such as industrial automation, freefall detection, and consumer experience applications. Furthermore, it has a low-power interface, which can wake up the device from a low power state to a high power active mode. This is beneficial for a number of applications, reducing the total system power consumption. The MexxProtector™ coating and multiple phase circuitry also make it resistant to moisture and vibration. This device is offered in a small 3mm x 3mm x 1mm package.
