MAX6576/MAX6577 SOT Temperature Sensors with Period/Frequency Output General Description Features The MAX6576/MAX6577 are low-cost, low-current tem- Simple Single-Wire Output perature sensors with a single-wire output. The MAX6576 Two Output Types Available converts the ambient temperature into a square wave with Temperature to Period (s) (MAX6576) a period proportional to absolute temperature (K). The Temperature to Frequency (Hz) (MAX6577) MAX6577 converts the ambient temperature into a square 0.8C Accuracy at +25C (3C max) wave with a frequency proportional to absolute tempera- ture. The MAX6576 offers accuracy of 3C at +25C, No External Components 4.5C at +85C, and 5C at +125C. The MAX6577 Operates from +2.7V to +5.5V Supply Voltage offers accuracy of 3C at +25C, 3.5C at +85C, and Low 140A Typical Supply Current 4.5C at +125C. Standard Operating Temperature Range: Both devices feature a single-wire output that minimizes -40C to +125C the number of pins necessary to interface with a micropro- Small 6-Pin SOT23 Package cessor. The period/frequency range of the output square wave can be selected by hard-wiring the two time-select pins (TS0, TS1) to either V or GND.
