The MAX1487CSA+T is a low-power, slew-rate-limited RS-485/RS-422 transceiver IC manufactured by Analog Devices. It is designed to provide high-speed data communication over a twisted pair cable with the RS-485/RS-422 protocols. This IC provides a peak output voltage of 7V with a supply voltage of 5V or a peak output voltage of 10V with a supply voltage of 8V, with a maximum output current of 48mA. The device features wide common-mode range, slew-rate-limited output, low distortion, ESD protection, and low standby power consumption. It also features a control logic input, enable input, on-chip termination resistor, low-voltage operation, thermal protection, and compatibility with 5V or 3.3V logic. The device is available in a 16-pin QSOP package.
