protocol The Y-D1N-300M part of the Leach protocol is a Hierarchical Adaptive Data Collection (HADC) technique for wireless sensor networks (WSNs). It is based on the Distributed Information Centric Monitoring (DICM) approach, where nodes in a network are grouped into two-level clusters. The Y-D1N-300M technique assigns a dynamic role to each node in a network, which is used to collect and forward data from a source node to the sink node. Y-D1N-300M assigns a unique role to each cluster and node. The roles are based on the network topology, the data rate between each node and information about the data collected by nodes. The first layer of the hierarchy is called the Y layer, which is composed of a sink node and several other source nodes. Data is collected by the Y layer nodes and sent to the sink node for aggregation and further processing. The second layer of the hierarchy is the D1N layer, which consists of a number of clusters, each composed of a set of nodes. Nodes in this layer are arranged in a stable pattern and data is collected from one cluster and then transmitted to another cluster in the same layer. The last layer of the hierarchy is the 300M layer, which consists of a sink node and several cooperating nodes. Data collected by nodes in this layer is forwarded to the sink node and further processed. Y-D1N-300M is an efficient data collection method that reduces energy consumption in WSNs, increases performance and improves the scalability of data collection.
