The BC857 is an NPN bipolar junction transistor (BJT) manufactured by Continental Device India Limited (CDIL). It is commonly used for low power general purpose amplification and switching applications. This transistor is available in an SOT-23 package with a maximum collector-emitter voltage of 40V, a maximum collector current of 500mA and a maximum power dissipation of 625mW. The BC857 has a low base-emitter voltage of 1.2V and a high current gain of 800. This transistor is suitable for applications that require low noise and minimum distortion.
