AP7

The AP7 is the seventh generation of Bluebird computers designed and developed by the Canadian company Canadian Computing Devices (CCD). It was the first Bluebird developed on the PC platform and features a variety of hardware and software components. The AP7 includes both DOS and Windows 95 operating systems, a 486 DX2/66 processing system, an 8-bit ISA bus, a VGA compatible video display system, an internal 800Mb hard drive and a 5.25-inch floppy drive. The machine also incorporates many of the features of the earlier Bluebird systems such as the "desktop” environment, the EZ Write word processor, network support, an icon-based menu system, and a variety of software packages. The AP7, along with its predecessors, set a new standard of computing technology, making it one of the most popular PCs of its time.
