Tilt Switches
A tilt switch is a type of electrical switch that is used to detect an angle or inclination of an object relative to earth. It works by detecting changes in a metal ball enclosed in a metal casing. The switch has two contact points which are connected to the metal ball. When the object changes its tilt or angle, the metal ball will roll and make contact with either of the two contact points, thus closing the circuit and allowing the switch to actuate. This is useful in applications such as tilt sensors, level switches, or devices that need to detect changes in the position or angle of an object.
