Founded in 2008, Circuits was formed by veteran PCB engineering and fabricating professionals united by a common vision of better, more adaptable, but focused PCB manufacturing and support service. The Circuits’ team started with a blank slate, challenged with designing a modern fabrication facility customized to build superior, high reliability Flexible Printed Circuits, something that the traditional FR4 shops struggled with. This meant designing a work flow that not only minimizes handling of ultra thin materials but is driven by a “defect-free” philosophy. By sharing best practices in manufacturing and lessons learned from their extensive industry experience the result is a very unique, customized facility. Central to the operation is a Class 1000 clean room that houses all imaging processes to ensure the highest quality in-process printed and photosensitive materials. The mechanical and wet processes surround the clean room to create a highly efficient work flow within the manufacturing area. In June 2017 Circuits, LLC was acquired by Compunetics, a leading PCB manufacturer located in Monroeville, PA. It was announced that Circuits would become a division of Compunetics specializing in flex circuit manufacturing. Today, the Flex Circuits Division continuously builds on this foundation and sets new standards for high reliability flexible PCB manufacturing – saving customers time, money and the headaches commonly associated with PCB vendors. Located just 20 miles east of Pittsburgh, they bring more than 200 years of collective design, materials and process expertise to the production of custom, complex and time-critical flexible PCB products.
