MAXQ618 16-Bit Microcontroller with Infrared Module General Description Features The MAXQ618 is a low-power, 16-bit MAXQ microcon- S High-Performance, Low-Power, 16-Bit RISC Core troller designed for low-power applications including uni- S DC to 12MHz Operation Across Entire Operating Range versal remote controls, consumer electronics, and white S 1.70V to 3.6V Operating Voltage goods. The device combines a powerful 16-bit RISC S 33 Total Instructions for Simplified Programming microcontroller and integrated peripherals including two universal synchronous/asynchronous receiver-transmit- S Three Independent Data Pointers Accelerate Data ters (USARTs) and an SPI master/slave communications Movement with Automatic Increment/Decrement port, along with an IR module with carrier frequency S Dedicated Pointer for Direct Read from Code Space generation and flexible port I/O capable of multiplexed S 16-Bit Instruction Word, 16-Bit Data Bus keypad control. S 16 x 16-Bit General-Purpose Working Registers The device includes 80KB of flash memory and 2KB of data SRAM. The MAXQ61C is a ROM version of this device. S Memory Features 80KB Flash Memory For the ultimate in low-power battery-operated perfor- 2KB Data SRAM mance, the device includes an ultra-low-power stop mode (0.2A typ). In this mode, the minimum amount of circuitry S Additional Peripherals is powered. Wake-up sources include external interrupts, Power-Fail Warning the power-fail interrupt, and a timer interrupt. The micro- Power-On Reset (POR)/Brownout Reset controller runs from a wide 1.70V to 3.6V operating voltage.
