MAX6618 2 PECI-to-I C Translator General Description Features 2 2 The MAX6618 PECI(1.0)-to-I C translator provides an 400kbps I C-Compatible, 2-Wire Serial Interface 2 efficient, low-cost solution for PECI(1.0)-to-SMBus/I C +3V to +3.6V Supply Voltage protocol conversion. The PECI(1.0)-compliant host PECI(1.0)-Compliant Port reads temperature data directly from up to four 2 PECI(1.0)-to-I C Translation PECI(1.0)-enabled CPUs. This translator will only com- municate with CPUs that support PECI 1.0. Programmable Temperature Offsets 2 The I C interface provides an independent serial com- -20C to +120C Operating Temperature Range munication channel to communicate synchronously with V Input Refers Logic Levels to the PECI REF peripheral devices in a multiple master or multiple slave Supply Voltage system. This interface allows a maximum serial-data 2 Automatic I C Bus Lockup Timeout Reset rate of 400kbps.
