The MAX3485EESA+T is a 3.3V 12 Mbps transceiver manufactured by Analog Devices. It is an IC designed for Interface use with RS-422/RS-485 serial communication systems. The device contains a line driver and a line receiver, which allows interfacing between common voltage controllers and RS-422/RS-485 drivers. The device operates from a single 3.3V supply and is able to handle data rates up to 12 Mbps. The device has an enable/disable feature which allows it to be adjusted from low-speed or standby modes when connected to power via the EN pin. The integrated protection circuits also provide protection from overloads, ESD, and short-to-ground or power supply problems. It also features slew rate control, adjustable AC / DC coupling, and programmable noise reduction. The package comes in a 8-pin SOIC and the operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.
