The SP3232EEN-L/TR is a RS-232 transceiver with a speed of 235 kbps (bits per second). This device is from the True 3 to 5.5 V SP3232E series, manufactured by MaxLinear and is packaged in a NSOIC-16 package. This transceiver works by converting RS-232 digital logic signals to/from formatted TTL/CMOS output/input signals. The transceiver supports all the RS-232 line discipline requirements, and is optimized for fullduplex and half-duplex applications. It also provides a level-shifting function for up to 15 kV ESD protection on every I/O pin. The SP3232EEN-L/TR is robust and suitable for use in many different applications, such as automotive, medical, industrial, consumer and IoT.
