Additional Infomation About Product

The SP232EEN-L/TR is a Maxim Integrated high-performance RS-232 line driver/receiver from the SP232E Series. It is available in an NSOIC-16 package and has a data rate of up to 120 kbps. It features an integrated 15 kV ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection for upto +/- 12 kV contact discharge on the receiver lines and integrated power supply ESD protection of upto 7 kV. It also has an integrated 650 mA power-on reset circuit and a failsafe circuitry ensures the data output signal remains in a known state during power up/power down. The driver has low driver output impedance and low driver output noise and can be configured by logic levels on device pins. It is a low power device with an active driver power consumption of as low as 8.6mW. The device is suitable for applications requiring high performance with low power consumption and high ESD protection.
