A. Rapid Quote is FREE! There is no charge to download or use Rapid Quote.

Q. Why should I use Rapid Quote? Why not just use X-On's website? Top

A. Rapid Quote makes gathering your information quicker and easier as the information is only a couple of clicks away. X-On's website provides all this information also however Rapid Quote avoids the necessity to open your browser, enter the X-On URL, your account number, password (if you remember them!) and browse to the right area on the website. Rapid Quote makes all this so quick and easy. You don't even need a web browser!

Q. What operating systems does Rapid Quote Support? Top

A. Currently Rapid Quote supports the Windows 95/98/Me platforms. However, a new version of Rapid Quote is due for release soon to support a broader range of platforms.

Q. Is the data live information? Top

A. Yes. All the data is coming directly out of the X-On database and is the same information that the X-On staff see when browse your account or stock information. All data is current up to the second. (Note: Rapid Quote data is only available while you have an open internet connection).

Q. I have installed Rapid Quote but I don't know how to use it? Top

A. Rapid Quote is very simple to use and has 2 basic areas of navigation. Once the software has been installed Rapid Quote will run in the background every time you start your computer. This will place the X-On icon in your system tray as shown below.

By right clicking on the icon a menu of options becomes available. By selecting the "Open" menu option the application window opens and the navigation reverts to option Tabs. Each of these tabs provides different information as indicated by the Tab label.

Q. I don't have an account with X-On. Is there any point in me downloading Rapid Quote? Top

A. Customers that do not have a trading account with X-On can still use the software. If you have never done business with X-On in the past then the software will be limited to conducting stock searches only. If you are not sure if you have an account with X-On or would like to establish an account please contact X-On on 08 9458 5252.
