SFH 229 is a series of IR receivers manufactured by OSRAM. These receivers are designed for use in infrared (IR) remote control systems, and provide a high sensitivity level, along with an efficient demodulation capability. They feature a fast response time with a wide viewing angle, and have a minimum start distance of 1m. These devices are equipped with a high saturation current of up to 500mA, and can operate in both 3-pin and 4-pin packages. The SFH 229 series includes a variety of models with different features, such as different supply voltages, power output levels, and data rates.
